The beans of happiness

The story of the count....or the beans of happiness

In Tuscany, people tell the story of an old count, a conte, who grew very old because he was a bon vivant of the first order, who was able to consciously enjoy life and its beautiful moments, day after day.

He never left the house without first pocketing a handful of beans.

He did this in order to consciously perceive the beautiful moments of the day and to be able to count them better.

Most of the beans were dark and quite small, but two or three were white and large.

For every positive little thing he experienced during the day - a cheerful chat on the street, a woman's laughter, a delicious meal, a fine cigar, a shady spot in the midday heat, a glass of good wine... for everything that delighted his senses, he let a bean wander from his right jacket pocket into his left. Sometimes there were two or three.

Sometimes there were times when a lot of things changed around him, new demands were placed on him that sometimes frightened him, when he didn't know whether he would be able to cope with all the changes.

But he felt the many little beans in his left pocket that gave him courage. And so he began to deal with change and to look for new ways and practicable solutions together with others. When he had mastered such a big chunk, he put a large white bean from his right pocket into his left pocket

He would sit at home in the evening and count the beans from his left pocket. He celebrated these minutes.

He reminded himself how many wonderful things had happened to him that day and was happy. Even if he only counted one bean that evening, the day had been a success.

It was worth living for.

Why don't you do it like Conte in the future?

"Collect and count the happy moments of the day and be grateful for them.
Carpe momentum!"

Now you say hmmm, nice story, but it's not practical for me because....

We will show you how you can easily integrate this into your everyday life in the "Mentally strengthened" team workshops
